Links des Pink is your Vermilion Parish Cancer Organization since 2007.  The mission has always been to help our neighbors, friends & family.  One way has been to support the Miles Perret Cancer Service Center.  Through the Center we have provided 3 weekend retreats for Breast Cancer Survivors, monthly group meetings, wigs, prosthesis, education, support, nourishment, physical wellness, cosmetic education & much more. The facility is in Lafayette only about 20 minutes from Abbeville.  Most Doctors & nurses will recommend the facility to their cancer patients for many their many resources.  Miles Perret Cancer Center was started by the Perret Family after their loss of their — year old son to cancer.  Their goal was to assist the many families who feel helpless, who have so many questions, who don’t know where to turn,

When Miles was diagnosed in 1995, his family determined right away that Miles would have as normal and carefree a life as possible. Their journey with him provided firsthand experience of the daily challenges of fighting cancer. In 1996, Miles succumbed to a brain tumor (gliioblastoma). A few years later, the Perret family started GAMES OF ACADIANA, a family oriented fundraising event, first held August 25, 2001. The amazing success of the first GAMES enabled the Miles Perret Center to open less than a year later. – See more at: http://milesperret.org/historymission#sthash.0dbgMo4y.dpuf
